Consistent industry labels across every signal
company.industry is now standardized to a canonical set of ~150 industries, mapped from the underlying NAICS, SIC, and LinkedIn taxonomies and applied consistently across all signal types and data sources.
Previously the same company could carry different industry labels depending on which signal or upstream source surfaced it (for example, raw NAICS codes from newer sources like Salutary versus our established 5x5 taxonomy). Those variants now resolve to a single canonical industry value, so filtering and grouping on company.industry behaves consistently no matter which signal a company came from.
No schema changes — same field, cleaner and more consistent values.
