Podcast Appearance Signal Retired

The podcast-appearance signal type has been retired. We rebuilt podcast coverage on different datasets - the successor types, podcast-company and podcast-contact, went live on June 17 and appear in signal type listings now.

What changed

• podcast-appearance no longer appears in signal type listings, and no new podcast-appearance signals are generated or delivered.
• Since June 17, podcast-appearance is kept as a back-compat alias: passing it as a signal_type filter in search resolves to the new podcast-contact type. Please migrate to the canonical names podcast-company and podcast-contact.
• The retired type previously accepted podcast-contact as an alias. That alias was removed with the retirement - podcast-contact now refers to the new contact-level podcast signal type, not the retired one.
