Web Intent (Company)
Web Intent (Company-Level)
Company-level web intent signals reveal which organizations are actively researching specific topics based on observed digital activity across the web.
How It Works
When employees at a company visit articles, comparison pages, reviews, or guides on ad-supported sites, the systems behind those sites capture:
- What page was viewed and what topic it maps to
- When and how often it was viewed
- The company behind the activity (resolved via IP address → business network)
This produces a signal: "Someone at Company X is actively consuming content about Topic Y."
Important: Company-level intent identifies the organization, not the specific individual. Any contacts shown alongside are matched based on ICP/firmographic criteria (job title, department, seniority) — they are the most likely stakeholders, not necessarily the person who consumed the content.

Resolution to Your Data
Company-level intent signals include the company_domain field, which can be used to match against your existing company database. See Resolution / Matching for details on how to join intent signals with your CRM or contact data.
Use Cases
- Account Prioritization: Surface accounts actively researching topics relevant to your product
- Campaign Targeting: Build audiences based on topic-level buying behavior
- Competitive Intelligence: Monitor which companies are researching your competitors
- Sales Triggers: Alert reps when target accounts show intent on relevant topics
Companion Databases
Web intent signals are delivered alongside two massive companion databases that enable full resolution:
Company Database (Firmographic)
- Full firmographic records for millions of companies
- Fields: company name, domain, industry, SIC/NAICS codes, revenue range, employee count, address, LinkedIn URL, phone, description
- Used to resolve
company_5x5_id→ human-readable company details - Delivered as compressed CSV files (multiple shards, ~80GB+ total)
B2B Contact Database
- 254M+ US contacts and 387M+ international contacts (641M+ total)
- Fields: name, business email, programmatic emails, personal emails, job title, seniority, department, mobile phone, direct number, LinkedIn URL, work history, education history
- Delivered as compressed CSV files across 256+ shards (~80GB+ US alone)
- Refreshed regularly with new profiles, emails, and phone numbers added continuously
IP2Company Database
- Maps IP addresses to company identities
- Used upstream to resolve anonymous site visits to company-level signals
These databases are delivered as bulk flat files (compressed CSV/Parquet) to your GCS or S3 bucket. The company_5x5_id and up_id fields are the join keys that tie intent signals to company and contact records.
The intent signal files are relatively small (daily batches). The companion databases are large (hundreds of GB) but only need to be ingested once, then updated incrementally.
